What scanner settings do you use when scanning pencil sketches (fully coloured on not)? And... what scanner settings do you use when scanning coloured marker pen work?

Just your regular photo setting... my scanner is old and doesn't have a lot of options. I then have to fiddle with the pictures in photoshop (contrast, etc), though they still never look as good as they do in real life. I need a new scanner!
